First Look or Aisle Reveal? How to Decide

There’s no wrong answer — only the one that fits your day. A look at the pros of each so you can choose with confidence.
One of the biggest timeline decisions couples make is whether to do a 'first look' — a private moment where you see each other before the ceremony — or save it for the walk down the aisle. Both are beautiful. It really comes down to how you want the day to feel.
A first look tends to calm the nerves and free up your timeline. With portraits and family photos done early, you get to actually enjoy your cocktail hour. It's also wonderfully intimate — just the two of you, no crowd, often a few happy tears.
Saving it for the aisle keeps that classic anticipation alive, and there's nothing like the energy of a room full of your people watching you walk toward each other. Whichever you choose, I'll be there to catch the reaction — and to make sure the moment is protected and unhurried.
